Lanark County Paramedic Services (LCPS) is operated by the Almonte General Hospital and is the sole provider of emergency medical response within the County of Lanark - a service district encompassing 3,074 square kilometres with apopulation of 57,000 people.  LCPS provides 24-hour pre-hospital BLS emergency and non-emergency care and transportation to and between hospitals for individuals experiencing injury or illness since September 2000. There are 5 bases in Lanark County: Carleton Place, Almonte, Perth, Smiths Falls and Lanark Village. Our paramedics are trained professionals who are highly skilled in all aspects of pre-hospital emergency medicine. They treat a wide variety of injuries and medical conditions, while providing supportive patient care and safe transportation to an appropriate medical facility.
